EU: Malting barley shipments in July-October estimated at 420 thousand tonnes

The private estimates of EU’s shipments of six-row winter and two-row spring malting barley in July-October this year are 420 thousand tonnes. They included one small shipment each from France and Denmark to the USA, H. M. Gauger GmbH reported earlier in December.

At least four vessels were foreseen for loading in November-December: from France to China, Colombia and Mexico, from Denmark to North America.

The analysts expect a total of 550 – 600 thousand tonnes of malting barley shipped to third countries by the end December.
